This fretless bass is serial number six for our four-string electric bass guitars with Classic string spacing. It is marked with an M-series designation though it is not set up with the midrange circuit common to our M Series. However, and most remarkably, this instrument also does not use the Tomm Stanley™ Tuning System, instead it is equipped with ebony tuning pegs on the headstock.
On this super special bass, the control knob normally assigned on our M Series basses to the midrange has no function; we call it a Studio Control. If you like your sound and the engineer doesn't, just turn this knob until they agree with you. If you'd like the midrange circuit installed, we can do that for an additional build fee.
